Staff

Our staff consists of a full-time Fire Marshal, two part-time Deputy Fire Marshals, a part-time Fire Inspector, and a full-time Fire Inspector who also functions as South Windsor's Emergency Management Coordinator. All of our personnel are certified by the State of Connecticut in Fire Safety Code Inspection, Hazardous Materials Inspection, and Fire Investigation. Together, we have many years of combined experience in fire and emergency services.

Personnel regularly attend continuing education classes offered by the Office of State Fire Marshal, the Office of Education and Data Management, the Division of Construction Services, the Commission on Fire Prevention and Control, and the State Police Fire and Explosion Investigations Unit. In addition, our staff have completed several more advanced courses at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsurg, Maryland and at the University of New Haven. 

Our members also belong to various professional organizations including the National Fire Protection Association, the International Association of Arson Investigators, the Connecticut Fire Marshals Association, and the Capitol Region Fire Marshals Association.
