The Town of South Windsor is now offering Online Permitting and appreciates any comments or questions you may have.

• Professional support to the Town Council and Town Manager
• Secretarial support to the Planning & Zoning Commission, Inland Wetlands Agency / Conservation Commission, and Zoning Board of Appeals
• Long and short range planning
   

Services Provided to Commercial / Industrial Applicants:

• Pre-application meetings to identify applicant needs/expectations
• Insure compliance with current regulations
• Provide technical support and assistance at meetings
• Provide educational materials to board members and residents
• Answer inquiries from residents concerning pending IWA/CC, PZC and ZBA applications, permit requirements, and general land use information
• Insure public safety and maintain aesthetic standards

Beware of Ongoing Scam Attempts

We want to alert our valued applicants to a recent scam targeting individuals by impersonating the Planning and Zoning Department.

What’s happening:
We have been made aware of fraudulent messages (via email) going out to applicants requiring additional application fees for an application to be approved. 

What you should know:
We never ask for additional payments through wire transfer. Fees for any applications are discussed in person with the applicant. 

All email communications will come from our verified channels, such as from OpenGov.com.

If you receive any suspicious communication, do not click on any links or provide any information.

What to do if you're contacted:
Do not respond.

Take a screenshot or copy the message.
