Assessor's Report

The Assessment Department's primary responsibility is to value for tax purposes all property, both taxable and tax exempt located within the Town of South Windsor borders. Real estate property was revalued as of October 1, 2019 as required by Connecticut State Statute. The 2019 Grand List assessments reflect 70% of those 2019 values as required by statute. The grand list reflects a 3.07% overall net increase in real estate both new and additional residential and commercial real estate properties, as well as motor vehicles and business personal property accounts.
