Adult and Senior Services caseworkers are available to provide residents with information about a variety of services included but not limited to housing, financial assistance programs, transportation, meal programs, volunteer opportunities and more. Food Assistance

South Windsor Human Services operates a food bank located at the community center. South Windsor residents in need of food should call our office and ask to speak to a case worker regarding their individual situation. You will be asked to provide proof of residency, income, and assets. The food bank is by appointment only and operates during normal business hours.

Holiday Programs

If you are in need of assistance for either our Thanksgiving or Christmas Programs, or if you are interested in becoming a donor, please call Human Services at (860) 648-6361.

The Thanksgiving program provides the fixings for a complete Thanksgiving meal to South Windsor residents in need. All donations received are from local individuals and places of business.

South Windsor Human Services offers a Holiday Adopt-a-Child Program. Low-income residents who are eligible for the program receive assistance with providing gifts for their children. Donors for the program “adopt-a-child” and provide gifts to that child based on anonymous information they receive.
