Programs that support this goal:  

Adopt a Road -  This program offers groups the opportunity to give back to our community by collecting trash along our Town owned roads, making them safer and more enjoyable. Click here to read more about this program. 

Electronics Recycling Events - The Town provides the opportunity for residents to recycle their electronics for FREE through ERI Direct. According to ERI, E-Waste remains the fastest growing waste stream globally, and there is approximately 100 billion pounds of e-waste generated each year. Household Hazardous Waste Collection - The Capitol Region East Operating Committee (CREOC) provides for Household Hazardous Waste Collection services to our Town. CREOC provides an opportunity to safely dispose of items such as acids, insecticides, chemicals, and more. According to the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Hazardous waste reuse, recycling, and reclamation can avoid environmental hazards, protect scarce natural resources, reduce the nation's reliance on raw materials and energy and provide economic benefits. Compost Store Sale - According to the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), wasted food is responsible for 58% of landfill methane emissions.
