MS4 Permit Compliance

Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) issued its first MS4 General Permit requirements in 2004 covering 113 municipalities, including the Town of South Windsor. In 2016, DEEP issued a new permit that became effective July 1, 2017. Activities included under the MS4 Permit are:

•    Public Education and Outreach
•    Public Participation / Involvement
•    Illicit Discharge Detection and Elimination (IDDE)
•    Construction Site Runoff Control
•    Post Construction Stormwater Management
•    Pollution Prevention / Good Housekeeping
