Mask Update - December 2021

Mask Mandate Update - December 2021

As of today, December 6, 2021, the Town of South Windsor has been identified as a “red” town. This means that South Windsor has 15+ new COVID-19 cases per 100,000 per day, which indicates higher community spread in our town. The Connecticut Department of Public Health (CT DPH) recommends that residents in “red” towns get COVID-19 tests whether or not you are symptomatic or have had a known contact with a positive person. This can help us to curb the spread of COVID-19 in our community. Please visit 211ct.org and enter your zip code to find testing locations near you.

In light of the “red” designation, The Town of South Windsor is advising those over 65 and residents with underlying health conditions remain at home as much as possible. Please limit indoor capacity of establishments to the minimum to maintain as much social distance as possible.

Additionally, the Town of South Windsor is mandating masks in all Town buildings and strongly recommending residents wear masks in public regardless of vaccination status.

We all play a part in stopping the spread of COVID-19 for our neighbors, friends and family. Please make smart decisions: wear a mask, wash your hands, social distance and avoid large group gatherings.
