South Windsor Town Council
PURPOSE: To receive citizen on an Appropriation of $74,000 from the Capital and Non-Recurring Expenditure Account to Cover Engineering Costs Associated with Replacement of the Track Surface and Installation of a Multipurpose Field at South Windsor High School
Mayor Anwar called the Public Hearing to order at 8:00 p.m.; and requested that the Clerk of the Council read the call of the meeting (a copy of which is attached hereto). There were approximately forty-one (41) people present in the audience.
Mayor Anwar asked if there was anyone from the public that would like to speak, there were none.
Mayor Anwar read a letter into the record from Mr. Michael Berghuis of 18 Mountain View Road which requested that funds be expended to give the surrounding neighbors a sound barrier/screening.
Mayor Anwar asked for a Straw Vote, the results of which were as follows:
Those supporting the Appropriation of $74,000 from the Capital and Non-Recurring Expenditure Account to cover engineering costs associated with replacement of the track surface and installation of a multipurpose field at South Windsor High School: - 1
Those in opposition of the Appropriation of $74,000 from the Capital and Non-Recurring Expenditure Account to cover engineering costs associated with replacement of the track surface and installation of a multipurpose field at South Windsor High School: - 0
The public hearing was closed at 8:04 p.m.
