2024 Compost Bulk Rates

The Town of South Windsor is pleased to offer the sale of bulk leaf compost (otherwise known as leaf hummus) for $7.75  a cubic yard.

Bulk orders must be a minimum of 500 cubic yards.

Orders must be placed a minimum of 48 hours prior to pick up.  Compost will be loaded into purchasers trucks/trailers at the compost site located at 157 Burgess Road, South Windsor CT Between the hours of 8 am and 3 pm Monday thru Friday.

Compost is unscreened and has the potential for unwanted contaminates.  Compost is derived of mainly leaves, certified lab analysis of compost may be provided by request.

There are no promises or guarantees as to the quality or contents of South Windsor’s Compost.  South Windsor’s Compost has been found to be very natural, and nutrient rich; which will bring increased vigor and emergence to all of your growing needs.

Prior to trucks being loaded an equipment damage waiver must be signed or on file with the Town of South Windsor public works department.
