Traffic Safety Enforcement

This unit is responsible for the investigation of traffic accidents. The unit is charged with enforcing the motor vehicle code in an effort to reduce the number of roadway accidents and increase roadway safety. Members of the unit participate in Metro Traffic Services (MTS), a regional traffic safety enforcement program. The unit is active in aggressive driver enforcement, the Click it or Ticket seatbelt campaign and DUI enforcement checkpoints. Members of the unit are trained as accident reconstructionists.
