CT Center for Digital Investigations

cdi logoThe South Windsor Police Department is a member of the Connecticut Center for Digital Investigations (CDI).  CDI is a regional digital investigations working group consisting of nine member law enforcement agencies from across Connecticut's capitol region including Glastonbury Police, Manchester Police, South Windsor Police, East Hartford Police, Vernon Police, UCONN Police, Newington police, Wethersfield Police, Windsor Locks Police.  Each department provides equipment, software and staff for our regional computer forensics lab.  

CDI conducts computer and mobile device forensics and criminal investigations related to cyber crime such as the distribution of child pornography, online enticement of children, network intrusions, cyber threats, email scams, etc.   

Our vision at the Connecticut Center for Digital Investigations is to remain at the forefront of the digital investigation field by making innovation in digital investigative technology a priority.  Our vision is accomplished through the acquisition and utilization of the latest digital investigative techniques and technologies, the continuous training and education of our members, the unwavering support of leaders in our communities as well as our member agencies, and the formation of extensive networks and partnerships with other leading professionals in the field.  Multi-agency collaboration is essential to our vision.  The Criminal Investigations Unit Supervisor serves as the liaison to this regional effort.
