State Budget Update from the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities

Following is correspondence received by the Town from the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities:

 

"Good afternoon, everyone.

 

As you probably know, the General Assembly passed a state budget on Saturday.  Attached are initial grant estimates under the budget.  Please note the new Special Education grant (similar to what the Governor proposed in February) and the fact that FY 17 Excess Cost grant amounts are not included in the totals.

 

This budget has not been adopted, and the Governor may veto it.  If that happens, the current Executive Order would remain in effect.

 

We are reviewing the document and will provide more information in the coming days.
