Nevers Road Paving Project

The Department of Public Works will be working with contracted services on the section of Nevers Road in preparation of a road reclaiming and paving project. The project location will start just north of Miller Road and end near Graham Road.

The first phase of this project is the reconstruction of the catch basins, which has already started and is near completion. The next phase of the project is the full depth reclamation, in which the entire pavement will be ground up and graded. The reclaiming is scheduled for week of April 18th. There will be traffic delays, but one lane will be accessible at all times.

The final phase of the project, paving is scheduled to take place the week of April 25th. Curbing will be installed where it currently exists. Lawn restoration will be done in all disturbed areas of the shoulder and in the driveway areas. All work is expected to be completed by the end of the second week of May, weather permitting.

While this is taking place PLEASE do not park on the street. We thank you for your patience during this program and apologize for any inconvenience. Again, minor traffic delays can be expected. One lane of the road will be open at all times. Please seek alternative routes and avoid the area if possible. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at the Town Garage (860-648-6366), Monday through Friday between 7:00 am and 3:30 pm.
