ABSENTEE BALLOT INFORMATION FOR THE NOVEMBER 2, 2021 MUNICIPAL ELECTION

Registered voters may request Absentee Ballot applications and vote using an absentee ballot for one of the following reasons for the November 2, 2021 Municipal Election:

  1. COVID-19
  2. Active service in the U.S. Armed Forces
  3. Absence from town during all hours of voting
  4. Illness
  5. Religious tenants forbid secular activity on election day
  6. Duties as a primary, election or referendum official
  7. Physical disability

If you would like to print an Absentee Ballot application, please click here If you would like an Absentee Ballot application mailed to you, please contact the Town Clerk’s Office at 860-644-2511 ext. 325.

If you complete an application, please remember you MUST check a reason for requesting an absentee ballot under Section II and sign and date the application.

Applications can be returned (1) via mail to Town Clerk’s Office, Absentee Ballot Application, 1540 Sullivan Avenue, South Windsor, CT 06074 (2) by using the Official Ballot Box located in front of Town Hall or (3) returning in person to the Town Clerk’s Office during normal business hours.

We are highly encouraging the use of the Official Ballot Drop Box located outside of Town Hall to return Absentee Ballot applications and Absentee Ballots.

Beginning October 1st, Absentee Ballots will be mailed to registered voters who have completed and returned a valid Absentee Ballot application.

REMINDERYou MUST complete an Absentee Ballot application in order to receive an Absentee Ballot.

Please note that if you do not to vote by Absentee Ballot, voting at the polls will be available on November 2, 2021 from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
