This is Michael Maniscalco, Town Manager for the Town of South Windsor.  We regret to inform you that we will not be distributing home test kits and masks tomorrow as originally planned.  While we have developed a comprehensive distribution plan, it is now paused indefinitely. Unfortunately, the test kits that were promised by the State of Connecticut have not arrived. Once we are confident, the Town of South Windsor will receive test kits we will share further information about the distribution.

Please continue to wear masks when in public, get your vaccine or booster as soon as possible, practice social distancing, and wash your hands regularly.  Please have a happy and safe New Year!

Hello South Windsor residents.  We are excited to announce that we will be distributing home test kits and masks, Friday December 31 from 9am to 12pm.  Please be advised that we will not have enough test kits or masks for every single household in town at this time.  We anticipate more of these supplies will be sent home through the school system and other public avenues in the coming weeks and months.

To receive supplies for your household, please come to the South Windsor Town Hall from the Petersen Way entrance off Ellington Road between 9am and 12pm.  We will be distributing one set of test kits per household at this time.  Please bring proof of residency such as an ID, utility bill, or vehicle registration to be checked prior to receiving your test kits.  This will be a first-come, first served event.

While we hope to get test kits out to as many households as possible, we are aware that the demand is greater than we can meet at this time.  We will do our best to get more supplies out to South Windsor residents as soon as possible.

Please continue to wear masks when in public, get your vaccine or booster as soon as possible, practice social distancing, and wash your hands regularly.

If things change and/or as more information becomes available, we will add it to this page. Please check back in on this page for updates.
