GENERAL POWERS AND DUTIES:

Represent the cable television subscribers residing in Town to consult with and advise the management of Cox Cable Greater Hartford, Inc. on matters relating to plant and equipment involved in the cable television distribution system, commercial as well as public and community access programming, customer service and complaints, and the establishment of interconnecting municipal and educational cable television facilities; to monitor the franchisee’s compliance with standards established for community access support; in cooperation with the franchisee and subject to the approval of the Department of Public Utility Control, to establish and implement a system of public access funding; to disseminate to the subscribers information concerning such matters; and to perform such other functions as may, from time to time, be delegated by the General Statutes of the State of Connecticut, regulations adopted pursuant thereto, and the provisions of the cable television franchise agreement approved by the Department of Public Utility Control.
