Celebrate Your Family: Spend a Day Learning and Having Fun! Saturday, May 14, 9:00am-2:00pm at the Hilton Garden Inn in Glastonbury, Connecticut

Parents and other caregivers are invited to attend a free parenting conference sponsored by KIDSAFE CT, an affiliate of The Village for Families & Children and the SBM Charitable Foundation, this is an opportunity to learn practical parenting skills, form connections with other parents and find out about valuable resources to help on the journey of parenthood.

Keynote speaker Dr. Laura Markham will present on how to connect with your children and help them manage their emotions. Markham received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Columbia University, has written several parenting books, and is the founding editor of AhaParenting.com.Conference goers may choose to attend interactive break out activities, as well as enter to win raffle prizes and enjoy a free breakfast and lunch.

Workshops include:  Social media and internet safety by Scott Driscoll from Internet Safety Concepts/Interactive sound meditation activity by the Conduit Center/Fatherhood by Doug Edwards from Real Dads Forever/Nutrition and wellness
