GENERAL POWERS AND DUTIES:

The duties of the Commission shall be to study and develop plans, programs, and activities related to national, state, and town celebrations. Including the commemoration of and/or honoring of the nation, and/or town, the history and culture thereof, military and other units and citizens and/or officials thereof, and to make recommendations for same to the Town Council; and upon approval of the Town Council, plan, arrange, supervise, and conduct such programs and activities. The Commission may appoint advisers to assist it in the fulfillment of its duties and purposes as it deems appropriate.
