Welcome to the South Windsor Department of Human Services!

The Department of Human Services is a multi-generational service agency whose mission is to enable South Windsor residents to achieve and maintain personal and social well being by providing a variety of services, programs, and resources that are both proactive and responsive to the community's needs.

Our hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. 

Behavioral Health and Financial Services

Human Services staff is proud to be able to offer additional behavioral health services and financial services to residents in need as a result of American Rescue Plan Act Funds. If you are experiencing financial hardship due to Covid-19, please contact our Adult and Senior Services Caseworkers for more information to see if you would qualify for assistance. Additionally, we have contracted with Intercommunity Health Care to provide counseling services to both youth and adults at the community center. A bereavement support group is also available on the 1st and 3rd Friday at 3:00 PM at the Community Center, 150 Nevers Road. Please inquire about any of these services by calling 860-648-6361 ext. 3335 to be directed to the appropriate staff person.
