Veterans Day 2019

The South Windsor Patriotic Commission wishes to inform everyone about the Veterans Day activities.

On November 8th, Veterans will be speaking to Social Studies classes at Tomothy Edwards Middle School all day.

On November 11th:

At South Windsor High School, Veterans will be speaking in classes throughout the day. The program is called "Veterans in the Schools" and is very well received by the students. All veterans are invited to share their experiences.

At 11:00 AM a service will be held at Veterans Memorial Park on Pleasant Valley Road. The service will include special music, a guest speaker, placing of wreaths, and taps and the firing of a volley by the South Windsor Police Department honor guard. The guest speaker will be Matthew Reed, Veteran, Attorney, and Former Chief of Police in South Windsor. For details contact SGM (Retired) Kent Carlson at 860-803-2385.

All South Windsor elementary schools will be having Veterans Day ceremonies in the morning. Please contact the school or schools you wish to attend to find out the time.
