Traffic Advisory:
Over the next few weeks multiple contractors will begin work to install fiber optic lines in
underground conduits in northern parts of South Windsor. These lines will support their 5G
network and will extend into East Windsor, Ellington, Vernon and Manchester.
Two separate contractors will begin work in the next week or two.
Drivers in the area of Griffin Road should be cautious and expect possible delays from the Griffin
Road Railroad tracks to the East Windsor Town Line.

A separate contractor will have a crew working to install conduit and fiber cable in Rye Street,
Windsorville Road and Griffin Rd.

Motorists should expect contractor and construction vehicles on the roadway and on the shoulder
of the road which may cause congestion and reduce sight lines.

All roads will remain open to traffic while they are working, but there may be traffic delays to
allow their equipment to move and work. They will have flaggers or police officers directing
traffic around their work areas.

As always…please be patient and drive carefully.
