Town of South Windsor Lifts Mask Mandate

Consistent with the guidance from the Capitol Region Council of Governments and in coordination with the Town of South Windsor Health Department, due to the steady decrease of COVID-19 cases within the Town of South Windsor, the Town has lifted the mask mandate effective immediately on Monday, October 18, 2021 for all businesses and buildings in Town with the exception of South Windsor Public Schools which are under the direction of the State Department of Education. The mask mandate will remain in effect for South Windsor Public Schools until further notice.

Please be advised that it is strongly recommended that you wear a mask while inside for your safety and the safety of others as well as to keep the numbers low enough that the Town will not have to institute another mask mandate. All unvaccinated individuals will still be required to wear a mask.

In the event that the number of COVID-19 cases increase, the Town will look to the Governor and the State of Connecticut for guidance and leadership to implement a mask mandate.
