Ridge Road & Deming Street Drainage Improvements

July 17, 2018

Re: Ridge Rd and Deming St Drainage Improvements - The Town is planning to improve the drainage on Ridge Road from Deming Street to about 550 feet to the south and on Deming Street from Ridge Road to Grandview Terrace. The improvements will include new catch basins, drainage pipes and repair or rehabilitation of the roads in the vicinity of the drainage work. The Town intends to make most of the road and drainage improvements within the existing right-of-way. However, grading of the surrounding grass shoulders and repaving driveway entrances may extend onto the adjacent properties to blend them into the existing lawns and driveways, with the property owner’s temporary permission. The proposed improvements are shown on plans that are available to review at the Engineering Department in the Town Hall weekdays from 8 am to 4:30 pm. We have scheduled a public information meeting for Tuesday July 31, 2018 at 7:00 PM in the Town Council Chambers at the Town Hall, 1540 Sullivan Avenue. You are invited to attend this meeting to review the plans and provide input if you so desire. The Town staff will be available to answer any questions and address any concerns that you may have. If you can not attend this meeting you can call us or come to the Engineering Department in the Town Hall to view the plans and ask any questions you have about this project. We are asking for any public input to be given by August 10, 2018 after which time we will finalize the plans for construction. If you have any questions regarding this project, feel free to call me or Bobb Grillo in the Engineering Division at 644-2511 ext. 244.

Sincerely,

Jeffrey Doolittle, P.E. Town Engineer
