June is Dog Licensing Month

We are again requesting that all dog licenses be obtained by mail or by using the Town Clerk’s drop box located outside Town Hall by the front entrance to the building.

Every dog must be licensed when it becomes six months old and then annually in June. If you are licensing a new dog OR the rabies vaccination date we have on file expires on or before June 30, 2021, a current rabies vaccination certificate must be provided in order to obtain a dog license for the July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022 licensing year. Licensing for the July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022 licensing year begins on June 1st.

There will be a low-cost Rabies Clinic held on Saturday, June 12th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Company One Fire Station, 1175 Ellington Road, South Windsor, CT 06074. Dogs must be on leashes and cats must be in carriers. Masks will be required and COVID screening will be in place.  Cost is $20.00 cash ONLY. Please contact Robin Bond at (860)648-6239 with any questions regarding the Rabies Clinic.
