Amit Peled & Daniel del Pino Open SWCA Season on October 6th

South Windsor Cultural Arts is pleased to welcome back Israeli-American cellist Amit Peled and Spanish pianist Daniel del Pino to open this year’s concert series on Sunday, October 6, 2019. Musical America named Mr. Peled one of the Top 30 Influencers of 2015 and he is acclaimed worldwide as one of the most exciting and virtuosic instrumentalists on the concert stage today. Mr. del Pino is one of the leading Spanish concert pianists on the international scene, has won numerous First Prizes at National and International Piano Competitions and has recorded several CDs.

The program will include Beethoven’s “Cello Sonata No. 2 in G minor, Op. 5, No. 2”; Gaspar Cassado’s “Sonata nello stile antico spagnuolo”; and, Richard Strauss’ “Cello Sonata in F Major, Op. 6”.

The concert starts at 2:00 pm at the Wood Memorial Library & Museum, 783 Main Street, South Windsor, CT. Doors are open at 1:30. Come early for best seats. The concert is FREE and donations are welcomed. This concert is sponsored by Robert Connell and Michelle Duffy.
